All golden films, agreed. I just wonder about your thoughts on "Fargo," "Oh Brother, Where Art Thou" and "No Country For Old Men?"
ReplyDeleteLorrie,
ReplyDeleteI was thinking of FARGO as the turning point in their filmmaking careers, when the Coen Brothers were accepted by "mainstream audiences." Their storytelling has certainly become more sophisticated over the years. O BROTHER WHERE ART THOU? and NO COUNTRY FOR OLD MEN are, purely and simply, works of genius. I also love THE BIG LEBOWSKI, A SERIOUS MAN and most of TRUE GRIT. I could write an entire book about my love for the Coen Brothers... but I was in a hurry last week.
